over 35,000 educators and students together in a community of learning at the University
of Georgia leveraging integration with Facebook, Twitter, the iPhone, and Google.
9thPeriod.com allows the University of Georgia community to create academic profiles
including their academic interests and classes. Academic profiles are then used
to connect students and educators with others around campus that have similar interests
or are taking the same classes therefore extending education beyond the walls of
the classroom and into the world of academic and social networking.

Center, Inc. assists students of all ages with college or vocational school admission
information, scholarship research, financial aid assistance, and obtaining an internship
in their desired field of study. They assist students who are currently in high
school or those who are considered non-traditional students (adults who have been
out of school for 10 years or more). This organization was founded in 2003 with
the mission to assist students and adults in creating building blocks that will
accomplish their career, social and life achievement objectives. Each client is
paired with trained professional counselors to assist them. The Freedom Career Development
Center, Inc. staff goes above and beyond to provide clients an opportunity to create
a better life for themselves. April Jones is the founder and chairperson of The
Freedom Career Development Center.

Technology Center provides leadership and support for the introduction and integration
of technology and innovation into Nebraska elementary and secondary schools in order
to provide quality education and equal opportunity for Nebraska learners. The Nebraska
Department of Education Technology Center provides grants for model educational
technology projects to Nebraska schools and educational service units. Grant awards
are given to schools or educational service units for projects which have the greatest
potential to enhance the quality of instruction in Nebraska schools or to broaden
the educational opportunities for Nebraska learners.
